For a child with special needs, playing baseball with other boys and girls is a dream come true. The Miracle League of the Triangle, a nonprofit baseball league for school-age players with any diagnosed disability, makes this dream possible for approximately 400 children per year.
Now, in addition to its original facility in Cary, the organization expanded to reach families in northern Wake County with the support of Bobbitt, who donated design and construction services for the new baseball complex. Located on Queensland Road in Raleigh, the North Wake Miracle League has a fully accessible field house and shelter.
“We’re thankful for our community, and we want to express our gratitude for years of support by giving back to a local organization that benefits people right here – our friends, co-workers and neighbors,” said Bobbitt president, Jim Bell. “The Miracle League of the Triangle is really a treasure for Wake County, and we love to see the kids playing baseball!”
Bell said the project would not have been possible without the generous support of subcontractors, suppliers and others in the community.
