The South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association (SCADA) is the trade association for new car and truck dealers in South Carolina. Bobbitt was selected for this design build project through a referral to build the association’s new space, which involved a big move to Hampton Street after being located downtown for approximately 25 years.

The 13,000-square-foot facility is a three-story, estate-style building with wrap-around porches overlooking the city of Columbia. The elegant theme includes black iron hand railing, hard tile on the outside porches, an all-brick exterior, specialty finishes and high-end mill work.

The interior features high vaulted ceilings, an elevator, a full kitchen and impressive conference rooms. Bobbitt overcame the challenge of getting approval from the city’s design development review committee for this prominent building located in the “Gateway into Columbia.”
