When Hurricane Helene struck Western North Carolina, it left communities facing significant challenges. In response, our team at Bobbitt joined forces with National Coatings, trade partners, and friends to deliver impactful support to those affected. Our response to the disaster was fueled by a collective effort involving fundraising, supply drives, and on-the-ground support. These initiatives demonstrated the power of teamwork and compassion, showing what we can achieve when we come together for a common cause.
Delivering Lifesaving Support and Resources
In collaboration with Day One Relief, AeroBridge, and UNC Health, Bobbitt Vice President Jim Bell worked to bring Dr. Knettel and PA Portal to KMRN, where National Coatings transported them to Cannon Memorial Hospital in Newland, NC. Their arrival provided much-needed relief to the Emergency Room staff and patients during this crisis.
Vice President Jim Bell also partnered with Operation Air Drop to deliver essential supplies directly to the affected areas. Jim flew from Concord Airport and Statesville Regional Airport to Rutherford County and Pickens County Airports, ensuring that residents of Western North Carolina received the resources they needed to recover from the devastation.
Strengthening Communities Through Service
At Bobbitt, we are committed to giving back and standing with communities in need. Our actions following Hurricane Helene highlight this dedication. Together, we can foster resilience and unity to face future challenges with strength and hope
