Bobbitt is pleased to announce the promotion of Jay Jenkins to the position of Director of Preconstruction. This advancement in Jenkins’ role underscores his noteworthy progression within the company, acknowledging his exceptional journey as Senior Preconstruction Integrator and Manager.
Brian Denisar, CEO of Bobbitt, expressed his enthusiasm about Jenkins’ promotion, stating, “Jay has shown tremendous leadership and mentorship abilities since joining Bobbitt over a year ago. We have enjoyed Jay’s insight and participation on our leadership and management team. He has earned the opportunity to lead our Preconstruction Team by having the right attitude, open mind, experience and mentor manager mentality.”
Jenkins brings 30 years of project experience to his new role, showcasing a wealth of knowledge in the construction industry. His career began in the residential sector, and he quickly ascended the ranks, holding executive-level positions, including Vice President and Director of Operations. Despite his success in leadership roles, Jenkins found his true passion lay in estimating and mentorship, prompting his decision to return to these aspects of the construction process.
One of Jenkins’ notable philosophies for succeeding in the construction industry is his emphasis on teamwork. He believes in being a team player, regardless of the challenges faced. “Roll up your sleeves, work together to solve the problem, and make the project a success,” he states. This collaborative approach has not only contributed to project success but has also shaped a positive and empowering work culture within Bobbitt.
Jenkins will be at the forefront of Bobbitt’s preconstruction efforts, working closely with teams across all offices, including Burlington, Wilmington, and Raleigh. His comprehensive understanding of the construction process, coupled with his mentorship mentality, is expected to drive innovation and efficiency in the preconstruction phase.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jenkins holds a Bachelor of Arts from Winthrop College, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and academic excellence. Outside of the construction realm, he enjoys spending his free time with his grandchildren and trout fishing in the mountains. Furthermore, Jenkins actively contributes to community initiatives, volunteering with organizations such as Wake Invests with Women and Hope Renovation.
