Founded in 1946 by G.E. Bobbitt, the company began as a Raleigh-based contractor and quickly built a reputation for quality and reliability. Over the decades, Bobbitt expanded across North Carolina and became 100 percent employee-owned, reinforcing a strong commitment to its people and clients. Today, we continue to build on that legacy through innovation, collaboration, and expertise in design-build delivery across the Southeast.

Bobbitt was founded by G.E. Bobbitt
1947
G.E. began selling buildings manufactured by Butler Manufacturing Company (This is what made “The Bobbitt Group”)
1986
Bobbitt created an Employee Stock Ownership Plan
1990
Bobbitt brought design-build services in-house
2000
Bobbitt became 100% employee owned

Brian Denisar became CEO
