SAFETY
Safety Beyond Compliance
Protecting the PEAR—People, Equipment, Assets, and Reputation—means going beyond compliance. We focus on improving our systems, learning from experience, and supporting our teams so that risks are reduced and safe outcomes are the standard across every jobsite and workplace.
We are committed to protecting the P.E.A.R.
PEOPLE
We understand that safeguarding our employees is paramount, but our dedication extends far beyond that. We are committed to protecting not only our team but also our valued subcontractors, esteemed clients, and the wider public. It’s not just about meeting regulations; it’s about fostering a culture of safety that permeates every aspect of our work.
ENVIRONMENT
We prioritize social responsibility by not only ensuring our work does the least amount of harm to the environment, but also by meticulously selecting materials from sustainable sources. Recycling isn’t just a practice for us; it’s a way of life. Our dedication to safety doesn’t end with our current practices; we’re constantly striving to improve, because safeguarding our planet and our communities is a journey, not a destination.
ASSETS
We protect assets, tangible and intangible, by ensuring comprehensive insurance coverage, proactively implementing safety protocols on site, keeping accurate records of materials and equipment and enforcing security measures to prevent theft or damage.
REPUTATION
Reputation is paramount to us. We prioritize safeguarding not only Bobbitt’s reputation but also that of our subcontractors and clients. We implement rigorous controls and measures to mitigate risks, including accidents or incidents that could tarnish our collective image.
leadership walks
-
Our leadership team conducts quarterly jobsite walks to stay closely connected to the realities of our work and reinforce our commitment to safety. These visits aren’t about inspection—they’re about engagement. By being present in the field, leadership gains firsthand insight into jobsite conditions, listens to team feedback, and identifies opportunities to improve systems and processes.
This hands-on approach supports our HOP philosophy by focusing on learning, strengthening communication, and continuously improving how we keep our teams safe—both in the field and across the organization.

HOP committee
-
Our HOP (Human & Organizational Performance) Safety Committee is made up of representatives from each department across the company, bringing together diverse perspectives to strengthen safety both in the workplace and on our jobsites.
This cross-functional team is focused on improving how we approach safety by identifying risks, sharing insights, and driving meaningful changes that protect our people.
Celebrating Success!
The average EMR rating is set at 1.0, representing the industry standard. When a business has an EMR lower than 1.0, it indicates a better-than-average safety record.
Bobbitt is a proud Raffles partner, with vested interest in developing, maintaining, and improving operational practices.
